DIMAPUR — Condolences continue to pour in for N Diswang Hau, GB of NST Colony, Dimapur, who lost his life on July 10 in a tragic car accident on NH 29, Peducha area.
H Tovihoto Ayemi: Advisor for the Department of Tribal Affairs and Election, H Tovihoto Ayemi, expressed shock at Hau’s demise, describing him as a God-fearing, soft-spoken, and down-to-earth person. He noted that Hau was always passionate and committed to the well-being of society, serving in various capacities.
In a condolence note, Ayemi said that Hau was a friend and brother to him.
‘We celebrate the legacy he has left behind. The legacy of his great compassion and caring for others will remain imbibed in the hearts of all those who have been closely associated with him,’ read the note.
The advisor, along with his wife and family, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. They prayed that God grant them solace and courage to bear this irreparable loss and that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
Alezo Venuh: Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser of the GPRN/NSCN (U) and co-convener of the Working Committee, NNPG, said in his condolence message that the tragic demise has shocked all who knew him.
“Truly, there are very few distinguished social activists today who are as honourable, committed, brave and unbiased as him,” he said.
Recalling his enthusiasm and positive initiatives as a student leader at Kohima College in the early 1990s and later in the Naga Students’ Federation, where they worked together, Venuh said he was a remarkably proactive individual who worked tirelessly for the upliftment of his community in particular and the Nagas in general.
ZB (N) and ZYON: Zeliangrong Baudi (ZB) Nagaland also condoled the demise of Hau, describing him as a great and towering leader for the Zeliangrong community of Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland.
The Zeliangrong Youth Organisation Nagaland (ZYON) stated in its message that Hau will always be remembered for his dedication, honesty, and selfless service towards the betterment of the community. His contributions will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to inspire all.
It added that while Hau has left this world, his spirit and teachings will continue to guide them towards a brighter future.
NCSU: The Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) head office in Kohima also expressed sadness at the sudden and untimely demise of Hau.
In a note, the NCSU stated that Hau was a bona fide member of the union, serving as its legal advisor and as advisor of the NCSU Peren district unit until his last breath.
Describing him as a sincere and humble person, the union stated that with his passing, the NCSU has lost a true friend and a skilled lawyer.
