Organisations mourn demise of NST Colony GB

DIMAPUR — The Joint Council Forum, comprising NST Colony, Churches Colony, and Middle Point, has mourned the demise of Diswang Hau, GB of NST Colony, who passed away in a car accident on Wednesday.

In a press release, the forum stated that Hau was an exceptional public leader, renowned for his sincerity, honesty, and dedication to the community.

“His unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people was inspiring, and his presence will be deeply missed,” it read.

Describing Hau’s untimely demise as a significant loss for the Joint Council Forum and the people of Dimapur, the forum added that his legacy will continue to inspire them, and they will strive to carry forward his vision for the betterment of the community.

The forum extended condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for them to find strength and comfort during this difficult time. It also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.

In a separate condolence message, the NST Colony Council mentioned that Hau served as the chairman of the of the colony from 2018 to 2024 and was elected as the GB of the colony this year.

TUD: The Tangkhul Union Dimapur (TUD), also expressed shock at the tragic road accident that claimed Hau’s life.

The union stated that Hau was an ardent activist with a passionate zeal to serve the people and had always stood by TUD through thick and thin.

“In his tragic demise, the TUD has lost an all-weather friend,” it said in a message, extending condolences to the family members and friends he left behind.
