DIMAPUR — The GB Union Dimapur Sadar has informed all GBs under its jurisdiction to strictly adhere to the directives of the district administration for free and fair ULB election.
In a press release, the union reminded that on the polling day, GBs are to perform their duties diligently in collaboration with the district administration, law enforcing agencies and election officials for peaceful conduct of ULB voting process and to thwart any form of unlawful activities within the vicinity of the polling booth areas.

The union also cautioned nonresidents not to interfere in other colonies or wards, bearing in mind the consequences of creating law and order problem and the possibility of ensuing confrontation between the residents and outsiders.
“If any such situation arises, the GBs on duty should immediately alert the concern authority, deputy commissioner and police commissioner as communicated,” it stated.
Further, the GB Union apprised all intending candidates under Dimapur Municipal Council to shun any form of violence or disturbances and to adhere to the module code of conduct during the polling period.
