DIMAPUR — The executive committee of the Notun Bosti Council Dimapur (NBCD), in its meeting held on June 15, resolved to follow the guidelines and regulations of the State Election Commission (SEC) in the upcoming urban local body election.
An update from the council stated that the house resolved to maintain peaceful atmosphere and conduct free and fair election within its jurisdiction.
It has welcomed any candidate, who is willing to express the party manifesto to the council.
It resolved that only the genuine voters would be allowed to caste vote and outsiders/ bogus voters would not be allowed to caste vote.
It also resolved that no political parties would be allowed to organise youth camp within its jurisdiction. It also resolved to take stern action against any person/ group creating unnecessary disturbance within the colony under the influence of alcohol etc.
It further resolved that senior citizens and person with disability (PwD) would be given voting privilege/ preference.
The council cautioned that strict action would be taken against anyone failing to comply with the resolutions.
