DIMAPUR — The Wokha unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G) has inducted Mingthunglo Ngullie, senior SDEO of Wokha, as district secretary and T Ezanthung Lotha, IE coordinator, as treasurer during a programme held at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s office on Saturday.
The induction programme was held in the presence of the deputy commissioner-cum-president of Wokha BS&G, Ajit Kumar Ranjan, a DIPR report stated.
Speaking at the induction programme, the EAC (Sadar) of Wokha, Rosy Sangtam, congratulated the two new inductees. Stating that Wokha Bharat Scouts and Guides is one of the best performing units in the state, she urged the team to continue working for the betterment of the organisation.
The newly inducted members also spoke on the occasion and assured to work together to have a positive impact and wellbeing of Wokha BS&G.
During the programme, Scout Captain, Sulanthung of Santsuo School and Guide Captain, Wonchibeni Kithan of Cistus School were awarded with certificates in recognition for their valuable service and contribution towards BS&G.
Later after the induction programme, the Wokha BS&G organised an awareness programme on blood donation for the senior Scout and Guides, where the chief of Team Metamorphosis, Thungdemo Kyong, was the resource person.
The programme was chaired by vice president of BS&G-cum-president of Lotha Eloe Hoho, while the Guide captain, Oreno Ngullie, delivered the vote of thanks.
