DIMAPUR — The Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench has launched its own web-based ‘online eServices portal’, marking a significant step towards transparency and efficiency in judicial administration.

The portal, designed and developed by the eCourts team of Kohima Bench, was formally launched on Thursday by Vijay Bishnoi, Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court, in the presence of Lanusungkum Jamir, Judge In-Charge, Administrative Department (JAD) Gauhati High Court; and Devashis Baruah, Judge Gauhati High Court and ICT In-charge of Kohima Bench; and registry officials.

As per an update received here on Friday, the portal (https://hcnlservices.in/) is designed to enhance efficiency, transparency, and convenience for employees, job applicants, advocates and stakeholders.

Key features of the portal include an online leave management system which simplifies the leave application process for employees, allowing them to apply for leave, check leave balances, and track the status of their applications seamlessly. This not only streamlines workflow, reduces paperwork and improves the management of leave records, but also ensures a more efficient and transparent system, the update stated.

The portal also streamlines job applications, data collection and candidate screening processes. Applicants can easily submit their resumes and required documents online, leading to a faster and more organised recruitment process. It will maintain a centralised database of applications and candidate information for easy access and management.

An online inventory management system has also been designed for meticulous record-keeping, tracking, and management of ICT assets and hardware procured by the High Court. By maintaining accurate inventory records and monitoring asset usage, resource allocation is optimised, reducing wastage and ensuring that technological resources are effectively utilised.

In addition to the portal, the update stated that a dedicated WhatsApp channel, ‘GHC Kohima Bench Info Channel,’ has also been launched to broadcast crucial information such as daily cause lists, case status, important notifications, video conference links and related news.

The channel will benefit advocates, litigants and interested stakeholders by providing real-time updates, enhancing accessibility and ensuring that everyone stays informed about the latest developments at the High Court.

The innovative features of the eServices portal represent the commitment of Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench to leveraging technology for better governance, thereby improving efficiency and accessibility, it added.
