DIMAPUR — The Chümoukedima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for June was held at the DC conference hall in Chümoukedima on Tuesday.
The meeting was chaired by the Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs and DPDB chairman, Zhaleo Rio. Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of Chümoukedima DPDB, Abhinav Shivam, was also there, according to a DIPR report.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman noted that Chümoukedima is one of the fastest growing districts. He encouraged the officers to serve their respective departments with sincerity for the welfare of the people.
After reviewing the minutes of the last meeting, the board discussed and deliberated on the agendas. The relocation of the element (World Bank) project zone I office, covering the districts of Chümoukedima, Niuland, Tseiminyu, Kohima, Peren, and Phek, to Chümoukedima town was approved by the house and will be forwarded to the government.
However, the opening of a new school (Emerald School) at ward-7, the registration of the Two Wheeler Taxi Association, and the registration of the V Movi Institute of Fashion Designing Society at Tenyiphe-l were discussed but deferred to the next meeting for proper verification.
