DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) organised a felicitation programme for Sano Vamuzo, a life member of NBSG and Padma Shri Award recipient for 2024, at her residence on Tuesday.
The state secretary of NSBSG, Zakie Suohu, in his felicitation speech, congratulated Sano for bringing laurels to her people and the Scouts and Guides, the media coordinator, NSBSG stated in a press release.
On behalf of the association, he also wished her good health and a long life.
Report stated that the state secretary and life member, Dr. Nicky Kire, also spoke on the occasion.
It mentioned that Sano Vamuzo served the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides in the capacities as state organising commissioner (Guide) from 1969 to 1972; state commissioner (Guide) from 1979 to 1982 and vice president from 2013 to 2017.
“As a life member, Sano continues to encourage the young people with her passion for guiding, keeping her promise to do her best, to do her duty to God and her country, to help other people and to obey the Guide law,” the release stated.
