Dimapur, May 16 (EMN): The District Health Society (DHS), Mon, conducted its review meeting at the CMO conference hall with all medical officers (MOs) and programme officers, on May 15.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Mon, Dr. Imnapokim, in his welcome address, expressed gratitude to all the attendees for adhering to the schedule. In an effort to raise reporting standards and addressing minute problems at their respective levels, the CMO advised the SMOs and MOs to give priority to monitoring and supervision of the villages under the care of their individual health facilities.
Also, in order to increase the department’s ability to achieve overall goals, he asked the DPOs of each vertical programme to stay in constant communication and to update the activities and actions contained in their plan.
Following his recent monitoring visit to seven facilities, deputy CMO Dr. Thomas Keppen, gave a brief summary on the data of OPD, ANC, deliveries, hypertension screened, TB screening, registration in Nagaland Pollution Control Broad Authorisation, self-assessment – NQAS/Kayalp, Ayushman cards generation and referral transport. He also highlighted on the assessment tool on heat preparedness.
Dr. Wungyong, DPO (UIP and RCH), gave a PowerPoint presentation on the data collected from the HMIS report on maternal health and child health, comparing each block with their target.
Family planning, headcount survey adolescent health, vaccination and introduction of PCV 14 in the UIP were also highlighted.
One vertical programme at a time was discussed by the respective DPOs including NCD programme officer Dr. Rongsennungla; DPO DAPCU Longyim and DPO DVBDCP Dr. Abenthung; district pharmacy officer Limayanger and drug control officer Imnawapang.
Later, medical officer of CHC Aboi, Dr. Hangsa; MO of CHC Tobu, Dr. Pangjong; MO of PHC Chen, Dr. Shokwang; MO of PHC Tizit, Dr. Taliwati and MO of PHC Wakching, Dr. Chingyen, put forth their grievances and challenges.
The meeting was chaired by deputy CMO Dr. Thomas Keppen, the release stated.
