Sümi Hoho organises programmes in Zunheboto

DIMAPUR — The Sümi Hoho on Wednesday hosted a series of events at Sümi Hoho Ki in Zunheboto town marking a significant day of celebration and organisational milestones.

An update from the hoho stated that the first part of the programme began with a felicitation ceremony honouring the newly elected office bearers of the Sümi Kükami Hoho (SKH) and the Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu (SKK).

The programme was chaired by its vice president, Hokishe Kiba, which was followed with a speech delivered by its president, I Nikheto Jimomi.

Report stated that speeches were delivered the president of Sümi Kükami Hoho (SKH), Hetoho S Zhimomi, and president of Sümi Kiphimi Küqhakulu (SKK), Gihuka Zhimomi. The pastor of Sümi Baptist Church, Zunheboto, Dr. Hutton Sumi, offered prayers for the newly elected members.

The second session was marked with the launch of Sümi Youth Organisation (SYO), which was chaired by the hoho general secretary, Dr. Vihuto Asumi, followed with a prayer of blessings said by the SBAK executive secretary, Rev. Kughato Chophi.

A song was presented by Nogheli Chipiku.

Speeches were delivered by the advisor of Sümi Hoho, Hekhushe Shikhu, president of Western Sümi Youth Front (WSYF), Atokiho Swu, and former vice president of Sümi Hoho, Zhevihe Sumi.

The highlight of the event was the official launch of SYO by president of Sümi Hoho, I Nikheto Jimomi, who also declared the SYO office bearers.

SYO team would be led by Hikavi H Kinimi as president, Hukaito H Zhimomi as vice president, Bokalu V Zhimomi as general secretary and Enoch Wotsa as finance secretary.
