Assam Rifles organises ‘A day with company commander’ in Phek
DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised ‘A day with company commander’ in Phek on Sunday, inviting local school students and teaching staff to experience the various facets encapsulating the daily routine of the troops.
According to an update, a total of 140 students, including 75 boys and 65 girls, as well as four teachers from Govt. Higher Secondary School and Christian Mission Higher Secondary School, were in attendance for the event.
On the occasion, the students were briefed about the functioning of the Assam Rifles, followed by competitions such as football, volleyball, tug of war, and singing. Adventure and fun activities like rock climbing, rappelling, negotiating the obstacle course, archery, and bamboo walking were the highlights of the event.
