Minister Jacob inaugurates clock tower at Niuland town

DIMAPUR — Minister of PHED and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi inaugurated a clock tower at Niuland town on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, the minister said that Niuland district would be transformed into a model district, one step at a time, an update stated.

Jacob assured that he would see to it that not only the infrastructural aspect but also the aesthetic aspect of the new district would be sufficiently taken care of, for which he sought the continued cooperation of the public.

He also hoped that the clock tower would also serve as a symbol of unity in the sprawling town. He conveyed his gratitude to everyone who made the clock tower a reality.

The tower was dedicated by Rev. Dr. Pughoto Sema, executive secretary of WSBAK. The dedication programme was also attended by deputy commissioner of Niuland and officials from the administration and various departments.
