DIMAPUR — Naga National Council (NNC) and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) will celebrate the 69th Nagaland Republic Day on March 22 at Transit Peace Camp (TPC) in Kohima at 10 am.
A press release issued by FGN kilonser of Rali Wali, Capt. (retired) Yirei Lungleng, has directed to all Midan Peyus of FGN and regional presidents of NNC to celebrate the 69th Nagaland Republic Day in their respective regions, sub-divisions and villages.
FGN appoints official
The Kedallo of Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has appointed Sükhai Awomi to be an interim Midan Peyu of Dimapur Union Territory (UT) on February 6. Awomi has been directed to organise the establishments of the political wing, government and Naga army within Dimapur UT jurisdiction and furnish monthly reports to the central government for finalisation. A press release issued by the secretary of Killo Ministry, Thonkiubui, stated that he should carry out all the normal activities of the government and also make particular assignments from time to time.
