BJP legislators tour districts, exhort karyakartas to expand outreach
DIMAPUR — The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator in charge of Phek district and Advisor for Prisons, Printing and Stationery, Kropol Vitsu, along with district co-incharge Tafi Phoji, conducted a ‘Phek district in charge touring programme’ at Chozuba village on Saturday.
According to a press release, the programme facilitated a discussion with party karyakartas about their achievements and grievances. State officials, members of the state media department, and representatives from different district morchas and mandals attended the meeting as well.
In his speech, Vitsu, who is also the state vice president, emphasised the importance of grassroots efforts, urged the karyakartas to expand party outreach programmes, and noted that one should not succumb to propaganda politics.
He called upon the karyakartas to work wholeheartedly and unitedly to uplift the party in the district, asking for every one’s cooperation and maintaining that only through cooperation and unity will they be able to achieve their goals.
Vitsu stressed the importance of leveraging available resources effectively and urged party workers to remain steadfast in their commitment to the party’s positive growth.
Dr. Vekho Swuro, president of BJP Phek district, chaired the programme and made Vitsu aware of all the party’s grievances in the district in his speech.
During the programme, Mulüzoyi Medeo, who resigned from the post of vice president of the Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress and joined BJP, was welcomed and felicitated. He has been appointed as the district president of the kisan morcha. Appointment orders for district morcha officials were also handed out.
Imkong tours Longleng
Imkong L Imchen, Advisor for IPR, Soil and Water Conservation and the BJP legislator in charge of Longleng district, also led a tour and held a meeting in Longleng town on Saturday.
During the meeting, in the presence of district officials, Tamlu and Longleng mandal presidents, office bearers, and senior party leaders, he elaborated on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship programmes and welfare schemes.
He encouraged the party’s karyakartas to remain committed and work hard for the party’s positive growth in Longleng district, adding that the party would work sincerely to make Longleng a model district.
After carefully listening to district president B Azhoy Phom’s grievances and concerns for the party in the district, Imkong stated that when he returns from the tour, he will discuss them with state president Benjamin Yepthomi and Deputy Chief Minister and BLP leader Y Patton.
Kakuto Chishi, state spokesperson and co-incharge of Longleng district, emphasised the importance of social media and mass media for the party and informed the karyakartas about the various doorstep schemes offered by the BJP government. He also urged the karyakartas of the district and the two mandals to keep up with current events.
I Pushi Phom, district executive member, also addressed the meeting, while state secretary and district incharge Aliba Sangtam spoke about the BJP’s organisational structures and functions during an interactive session with party karyakartas.
