KCS announces change of venue for some events
DIPHU — Karbi Cultural Society (KCS), organisers of the upcoming Karbi Youth Festival (KYF), on Wednesday informed that some events have been shifted to Diphu Sports Complex in view of the President of India’s visit.
President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to visit the golden jubilee celebration of Karbi Youth Festival on January 17. The golden jubilee of KYF is scheduled from January 12 to 19.
This was informed by Karbi Cultural Society (KCS) and the reception committee of KYF golden jubilee during a press conference on Wednesday. KCS president, Chandra Sing Kro, informed that no event or programmes would be hosted at Rangsina Sarpo Permanent Open Stage for security reasons prior to the arrival of President of India.
In order to keep the venue of the President’s visit free, he informed that night events have been shifted to Diphu Sports Complex.
Arrangements are being made following the order from Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
