Nagaland BJP takes out rally against Jharkhand Congress MP
DIMAPUR — Just days after the Income Tax Department raided the premises linked to Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dhiraj Sahu and unearthed INR 350 crore, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland on Monday organised a dharna in Dimapur against the MP and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for corruption.
The participants walked from Thahekhu to Marwari Patti in Dimapur as part of the protest.
Sapralu Nyekha, media officer for the BJP Nagaland, stated on the occasion that the dharna was organised to show their strong resentment against the recent corruption case involving the MP from Jharkhand.
BJP State spokesperson Thomas Magh asserted that it is their duty to voice against corruption taking place in the country.
It is not in the interest of the BJP to create false propaganda against any individual or any political party; however, it is the duty of everyone to speak the truth, he said, adding that everyone should condemn and raise their voices against corruption.
BJP Nagaland unit president, Benjamin Yepthomi, appealed to the government to take action against MP Sahu. Seeking to know to whom the seized money belongs, he said the Nagaland BJP wouldn’t rest till action is taken against Congress and MP.
