Training on pineapple jam making held for Panso farmers
DIMAPUR — Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Noklak, Panso block, held a training on value addition (pineapple jam) with assistant technology manager Zulutoshi as a resource person on November 28 in Panso town to prevent post-harvest losses and increase crop yield productivity.
According to a press release, Zulutoshi stressed on the occasion that more than one-third of all food produced globally ends up in dustbins and that post-harvest losses contribute to food shortages and ongoing food insecurity.
Value addition in each aspect of agriculture produces quality and adequate demand for the products, he said.
The hands-on training on pineapple jam was followed by a group discussion with the subject matter specialist. Later, another demonstration was held on the preparation of neem solution.
The programme drew a total of 20 farmers.
