Phek district golden jubilee marathon on December 13

DIMAPUR — The jubilee marathon in commemoration of 50 years of Phek district will take place on December 13.

The 7-kilometres mini marathon will take place in five locations- Phek town, Chizami town, Meluri town, Pfutsero town and Chozuba town.

The marathon is open for 18 years and above, both men and women.

The winners in the five locations will be awarded INR 10,000 each, while the first and second runners-up will receive INR 7000 and INR 5000, respectively.

There are also five consolation prizes of INR 1000 each.

Interested persons have been asked to submit their names with age proof by December 10 in their respective locations (Phek DC office; ADC offices in Meluri, Pfutsero, Chozuba and Chizami SDO office).

The event is sponsored by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports and initiated by Phek District Golden Jubilee event committee.
