Months on, NSSB-selected teachers remain without postings
DIMAPUR — In an open letter to the chief minister, a social activist from Mokokchung, Bendang Imsong, raised concerns regarding the delay in issuing posting orders for successful candidates of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) exams for positions in the department of School Education.
Imsong claimed in the letter that all successful candidates in the recently held NSSB exams had received their posting orders, with the exception of those under the department of School Education.
He stated that the selected candidates received their appointment orders on August 28, 2023, based on the recommendation of the department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (P&AR).
“However, till date, the posting orders for these candidates are yet to be issued, thus creating inconveniences to them. This delay on the order will affect their career in the long run as seniority and other benefits that are entitled to them are going to be impacted,” he said.
He pointed out that there were 41 undergraduate Hindi teachers, 30 physical education teachers, and 11 drawing teachers.
“I appeal to your benign authority to kindly look into the matter and issue the posting order before the end of the year, which will alleviate their grievances to a great extent,” the letter read.
