Regimental School Wokha celebrates cultural day
DIMAPUR — Regimental School DEF, Wokha, celebrated cultural day on Monday in the school campus with Aotula T Imchen, Superintendent of Police, Wokha, as the special guest.
According to a press release, speaking on the occasion, Imchen emphasised the importance of preserving traditional practices and values, noting that one’s culture is one’s way of life, and if it is not preserved, it will decay and die.
Meanwhile, Soriso Quinker, Addl. SP, and Chairman of the School Managing Board, Wokha, exhorted the gathering and spoke on the importance of family and the role of parents in this fast-changing world and changing times.
During the celebration, students from the school enthralled the audience with a colourful cultural display of folk songs, dances, poems, stories, etc.
