The Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) which was established in 1897 gets its new administrative building “Nokinketer Mongchen” after 118 years.
The administrative building was inaugurated by ABAM’s executive secretary Rev Dr Mar Atsongchanger at the mission centre in Impur. Ao churches’ representatives, donors and well-wishers attended the event.
The building includes a basement equipped with modern utilities. It was constructed with a total cost of Rs. 2.28 crore. The new building has a modern style conference hall to sit ninety persons, and a ‘smart room,’ a library and six well-furnished secretary rooms.
The foundation stone was placed way back in November 28, 2008 by N Talitemjen Jamir NCS (Retd) and dedicated by former finance property secretary of the ABAM, Rev A Temjen.
It is learned that ABAM after its inception did not constructed its own office but they focus most of their work in mission work outside its borders to spread the gospel after its second conference in 1898.
