DIMAPUR — The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has condemned the alleged kidnapping of one of its members named Anil Choudhary.

The KCCI, in a condemnation note, said that the threat of kidnapping and terrorising the members of the business community, motivated by monetary greed, has become a social evil.

It affirmed that such abhorrent activities should be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators punished as per the law.

While urging the law enforcement agency to promptly act and book the culprit at the earliest, the KCCI also demanded immediate release and safe return of the abductee.

The trade body further appealed to all the civil society organisations and the public to extend support to the business community in its “daily struggle with money mongers”.
