St. Xavier HSS celebrates parents day, felicitates alumnus
DIMAPUR — St. Xavier Higher Secondary School, Shamator, celebrated parents day and the felicitation of Among Tokiu on October 23 in the presence of S Keoshu Yimkhiung, Advisor, Youth Resources and Sports, as the special guest and Khruosutho Nyuthe, Superintendent of Police, Shamator, as the guest of honour.
According to a press release, Tokiu, one of the school’s first batch students, was felicitated for his success in the NPSC examinations and his appointment as junior divisional accountant.
The programme was organised to honour the parents of the students and to also showcase the growth, development, and talents of the students.
It was marked by various entertainment items performed by the schoolchildren.
Yimkhiung elaborated on the role of parents in shaping the futures of their children in his speech and encouraged students to strive for excellence, noting that they are privileged to attend good schools. Khruosutho, meanwhile, felicitated the students for their various achievements.
