DIMAPUR — All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) will hold its 21st biennial general conference from October 24 to the 26th to be hosted by Mount Tiyi College in Wokha on the theme “Perseverance.”
An update from the organising committee stated that the 21st biennial general conference would be a seminar-oriented event involving brainstorming session, music and art with participations of dignitaries and resource persons from different professions. It is prepared to host 1000 delegates from 40 affiliated colleges, associate colleges and invitees from across the state.
It informed that MLA Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe; minister of Higher Education and Tourism, Temjen Imna Along; former president of NSF and former secretary general of NESO, Senchumo NSN Lotha; and incumbent NSF president, Medovi Rhi, would attend the event and address the students as introductory guest, inaugural guest, theme speaker and valedictory guest respectively.
After the formal sessions, a collegiate nite would be organised on the last day for the students to exhibit their talents in the field of music, art, poetry etc.
The union would also elect new office bearers for the tenure 23-25 during the conference. It added that the last union assembly for the tenure 2021-23 would also be held during the conference to discuss on the confronting issues and adopt resolutions to be carried forward by the new team.
