Students encouraged to venture into entrepreneurship at PGC seminar
DIMAPUR — The career guidance and counselling committee of Peren Government College (PGC), Peren, organised a one-day seminar on ‘Entrepreneurial start up under agri and allied sectors: opportunities and challenges’ on Tuesday.
According to an update from the college’s media cell, PGC principal Dr. Phyobenthung delivered the welcome address and encouraged students to seize opportunities and excel in life.
Resource person Rokozhalie Namdau, assistant technology manager at Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), shared his entrepreneurship experiences and elaborated on the entrepreneurial avenues in Nagaland. He encouraged the students to not only look for government sector jobs but also venture into businesses.
The event was chaired by Tolivi H Sumi, assistant professor, HoD, department of Economics, while Dr. Achumi Ezung, associate professor, department of Political Science, conveyed the vote of thanks. Lemtsaliba Jing, assistant professor, department of Philosophy, served as the rapporteur.
