KOHIMA — Christ King Church Sunday Catechism, in collaboration with the Catholic Junior Association and the Catholic Youth Association, organised the third edition of ‘Bible & Saints Cosfest 2023’ on October 7 on the theme “Rooted in Christ.”
The Cosfest was initiated in the year 2019 but discontinued due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The second edition was held in 2022.
Dr. Vizokhonyü Victor Yhome chaired the event, while Ruokuovituo Robert, catechist of Christ King Church, said the invocation prayer and Dr. Kiyasetuo Stephen, president of Catholic Union of Christ King Church, declared the Cosfest open.
The Sunday Catechism has six categories of classes including beginners, primary, first communicants, sub-junior, junior and intermediate. From every category of the Sunday catechism class, one boy and one girl were awarded for best costume.
Winners in the primary were Keviyaselie and Vikuozonuo, while Kekhriepele and Magdeline won in the first communicant category and Kevijanuo and Noune Edward won in the sub-junior category.
Neiriikuonuo Elina and Mengukhriezo won in the junior category, while Nekezelhou Robert and Kikrukhrienuo Catherine won in the intermediate category and Thepfusolie and Keletuonuo won in the beginners’ category.
Stalls were set up by the Catholic Youth Association, while the Catholic Junior Association set up a bouncy castle for the children.
