QMHSS wins Quartet Competition organised by ANPSA Mokokchung
MOKOKCHUNG — Queen Mary Higher Secondary School (QMHSS) was adjudged the winner of the Quartet Competition organised by the All Nagaland Private Schools Association (ANPSA) Mokokchung unit on Thursday.
The event was held at the Queen Mary Higher Secondary School auditorium in Mokokchung town to showcase the talents and resilience of students from the district’s various private schools.
The winning team will now compete in the state-level competition scheduled for October 7 in Kohima.
In her welcome address, Dr. Anungla, president of ANPSA Mokokchung unit, emphasised the importance of holistic education and stressed that education extends beyond textbooks, encouraging students to participate in co-curricular activities and develop life skills.
She highlighted the inevitability of facing challenges and crises in life as both children and adults and urged students to view failures as learning opportunities and to find ways to compete positively with others.
A total of six schools participated in the competition, and Clark Memorial Higher Secondary School and Straightway Higher Secondary School were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
