DIMAPUR — The Indian Dental Association (IDA), Nagaland state branch, will hold a statewide free denture camp as part of the Community Dental Health Programme in the first week of October.
A press note from the association mentioned that October 1 is celebrated as International Day of Older Persons, and the IDA Nagaland state branch wishes to make a positive change by providing smiles and optimal oral health to the senior citizens by providing free dental camps and also free dentures (artificial teeth) across the state.
The main objective of the camp is to reach out to the less privileged sections of society who do not have easy access to dental healthcare.
District representatives have been nominated to coordinate with the members in their respective districts and carry out the activities in coordination with the local authorities and institutions.
IDA Nagaland state branch members have also agreed to do free follow-up on the patients treated during the camp.
All the members have been encouraged to render their valuable service and also voluntarily sponsor one or more patients’ dentures, and the same has been conveyed to all the wellwishers.
