Nagaland’s Mahila Band gets 3rd golden buzzer from Badshah
DIMAPUR — The IRB Mahila Band of the 15th NAP from Nagaland continued to charm India’s Got Talent Season 10 judge, singer-rapper Badshah, with their performance as the band earned their third golden buzzer from Badshah after their performance of the song “Raat Baaqi Baat Baaqi” from the 1982 movie Namak Halaal.
The reality show, aired on Sony Entertainment Television every Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 pm, features talents from varied backgrounds from across the country.
During Saturday’s performance, the band members shed their usual uniform and wore polka dot tops, bright yellow wide pants and skirts representing the 1920s to 1980s era, which also won praise from the host and judges.
Within a split second after their performance, which was telecast on Saturday, Badshah pressed the golden buzzer and remarked that their performance was a respect for the stage and the golden buzzer.
The judge also commended their vocal range. “Sometimes the simplest things are the most pleasurable and the way you do it and perform makes us feel good,” he said.
The rapper further said he was proud that “the band is his golden buzzer” and lauded them for respecting and valuing the golden buzzer that he gave during their audition and for the respect they have for the stage.
Co-judge Kirron Kher also acknowledged the band and said that the voice of Northeast people is a gift from God.
