NSSB a ‘historic achievement’ and will ensure a fair future: NDPP Youth
DIMAPUR — The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Youth Organisation congratulated the 587 qualified candidates who were presented with appointment letters on Wednesday by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.
The NDPP Youth Organisation applauded the Nagaland government for fulfilling people’s aspirations by presenting appointment letters to candidates who cleared the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) examination.
The youth body stated in a press release that the establishment of the NSSB is one of many pioneering achievements of the PDA government and stands as proof of the NDPP’s commitment and promise to the citizens of Nagaland for transparency and meritocracy.
It stated that the government of Nagaland, under the leadership of Rio, recognised the need for a centralised system for conducting fair and merit-based recruitment exams for government service and that a drafting committee was set up in 2019 to formulate regulations and policies for the NSSB while taking into account the demands of civil organisations and student bodies.
“The NDPP and its alliance, as promised, have provided stable and good governance, and also made significant improvements in the system by bringing about pro-people policies,” it read and mentioned that the government has strived to eradicate corruptive practices and ensure transparency and meritocracy in all sectors.
“The success story of the NSSB is a historic achievement that will ensure a future where fair opportunity is given to our educated and qualified Naga youths, thereby completely doing away with malpractice of backdoor or political appointments,” it said and congratulated the chairman and members of the NSSB for their dedicated and smooth conduct of the entire phases of the largest written examination conducted statewide.
