DIMAPUR — Construction of a two-lane road with a hard shoulder from the five-legged junction at Old Akhegwo to Akash Bridge (Akhegwo-Jessami section of NH-202), under Phek district in Nagaland, is in full swing, the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) updated on Sunday.
The project “Two-lane with a hard shoulder from design chainage Km 283.000 to Km 325.440 (5- legged junction at Old Akhegwo) to (Akash Bridge) of Akhegwo- Jessami section of NH-202 (Package-I),” which is 42.44 km length.
The project is being constructed under the National Highways (Original) North East (NE) Scheme with a sanctioned cost of INR 605.36 crore out of which INR 275 crore has been awarded so far.
The project was awarded on March 30, 2022, and the date of commencement or appointed date was June 23 2022. The project has made a cumulative physical progress of 30.68% and cumulative financial progress of 24.45%, the update informed.
