Phek district gears up for 50th anniversary celebration

DIMAPUR — The organising committee for the commemoration of Phek district’s 50th anniversary held a review meeting under the chairmanship of the deputy commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, who is also the convener of the planning and organising committee, in his office conference hall on Friday.

During the meeting, various committees were assigned with the responsibility to ensure a successful celebration scheduled on December 21, 2023, at Phek district headquarters.

A DIPR report stated that financial matters were extensively discussed with conveners and co-conveners of different committees providing detailed briefings to ensure the successful execution of the event.

Dignitaries including president of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), VezuhuKeyho; president of Chakeshang Mother’s Association (CMA), Zhonelu Tunyi; and former Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Z Lohe, attended the meeting and shared their opinions.

The EAC of Phek Headquarters, C Tsalimse Sangtam, delivered closing remarks.
