Innovation Hub organises workshop for Science teachers
DIMAPUR — A two-day workshop on ‘Professional development programme for Science teachers’ and awareness on ‘Innovation quest’ got underway in Dimapur on August 25.
The workshop is being organised by Innovation Hub & Space Education Centre at Nagaland Science Centre (NSC), Dimapur, under the department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with The Royal Society of Chemistry, Bangalore.
An update from Innovation Hub and Space Education Centre stated that the director of Science and Technology department, Zeneikhonuo Vimero, attended the inaugural programme as the special guest.
Speaking at the programme, Vimero has stressed on the importance of professional development of teachers and explained how the department of Science and Technology is trying to help and contribute to the students and teachers community especially in the science and technological sphere.
She also encouraged the trainees of the workshop to actively participate and make the best out of the workshop.
S Md. Peershavali, teacher developer at Royal Society of Chemistry, is the resource person of the workshop.
It stated that teachers from 44 different government and private schools from Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima districts are participating in the Dimapur chapter of the workshop. Meanwhile, it informed that the workshop for Kohima chapter would be conducted on August 28 and 29.
