DHS Zunheboto reviews rise in conjunctivitis, dengue cases
DIMAPUR — Concerning the ongoing outbreak of conjunctivitis and dengue, the District Health Society (DHS), Zunheboto, held a review-cum-consultative meeting at the CMO chamber on Tuesday with the district vector-borne officer, medical officers, district programme manager, IDSP unit, RBSK/MMU team, and BPMs.
Dr. Akaho Sema, Dy. CMO, expressed serious concern during the meeting about the rise of conjunctivitis and dengue in the state and urged all health units to coordinate with the department in sending daily reports and collecting data from the schools in their respective blocks.
The DHS also issued a health advisory to educate people on the importance of good hygiene as well as the symptoms and preventive measures to take in the event of an outbreak.
