KOHIMA — Zetta Farms, a Gurgoan-based company, and Tseminyu district planning and development board (DPDB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for 5000 acres of land to promote economic growth, preserve the natural ecosystem and empower local farmers in Tseminyu town on August 19.

Zetta Farms is a pioneering force in agricultural innovation that strives to redefine the future of farming in India.

“This strategic move underscores Zetta Farms’ commitment to fostering economic growth, preserving natural ecosystems, and creating a mutually beneficial environment for the community,” a press release stated.

It stated that collaboration with the government is at the heart of Zetta Farms’ approach. It added that through this partnership, the company would leverage the government’s infrastructure support while taking on the responsibility of managing and enhancing agricultural production.

Their innovative ‘Zetta Rozgaar Yojna’ would play a vital role in empowering local farmers, with one farmer employed for every two additional acres of land under cultivation, the release added.

Besides, it stated that Zetta Farms is dedicated to ensuring the well-being of its workforce by providing pension funds and insurance coverage for all farm workers associated with the initiative.

The CEO of Zetta Farms, Rituraj, said, “We believe in the potential of Nagaland to flourish as a model of sustainable agricultural growth. Our expansion is not just about cultivation; it’s about fostering socio-economic progress, environmental preservation, and community empowerment. Through collaboration with the government and the diligent implementation of our innovative initiatives, we are optimistic about propelling Nagaland towards becoming India’s first carbon-positive state.”

Zetta Farms’ successful expansion in Nagaland was attributed to the efforts of key individuals such as MLA and chairman of Tseminyu DPDB, Jwenga Seb; GK Rengma; state coordinators of Zetta Farms, Abhijeet Sahoo; and director of business development at Zetta Farms, Udit Singhal.

Through its steadfast dedication to sustainability and technology-driven practices, Zetta Farms aims to uplift the lives of farmers by offering them access to advanced agricultural techniques, modern equipment, and a reliable market for their produce.

The Zetta Farms would also extend its support to the farm workers of Nagaland and enable them to achieve higher yields, reduced wastage, and an overall enhanced livelihood.

The release also stated that education and community development are also key components of Zetta Farms‘ holistic approach and added that the company is committed to supporting the government’s efforts in building educational infrastructure within the district.

It mentioned that with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and farmer empowerment, Zetta Farms partners with local farmers by offering them access to cutting-edge technology, training, and markets, resulting in assured returns and an improved standard of living.

It further stated that the company remained committed to its vision of cultivating growth and prosperity in the agricultural sector by transforming traditional farming practices into profitable and sustainable enterprises.
