Nagaland electricity field workers serve ultimatum to government over non payment of salary
DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has served a 15-day ultimatum to the department of Power over non payment of salary to dozens of employees.
In an ultimatum addressed to the engineer-in-chief, department of Power, the association claimed that the government of Nagaland has not released salary to 66 ‘Operation and Maintenance’ staff, who were regularised in January this year and have been performing their duties.
Maintaining that the situation “has reached a critical juncture where our members’ patience and financial stability have been severely strained due to the undue delay, causing immense hardships which effects children’s career and family,” the association has asked the department to immediately release their salaries.
The ANEFWA said that it will be compelled to take its own course of action if the concerned department fails to release the salary of the employees within 15 days from the receipt of its ultimatum dated August 14, 2023.
