Dengue fever cases are on the rise in Diphu

DIPHU — Dengue fever cases are seen on the rise in Diphu Municipal Board (DMB) area since July.

Violation of the bye-law may lead to a fine of INR 500 up to INR 5000.

Also if any person refuses or fails to respond to undertake such treatment, method or measures within the time specified, the health officer may take measures or adopt such treatment within a specified time for which the expenses will be recovered from the owner of the occupier of the shop, building, etc.

It is also important that steps such as source reduction, fever surveillance, fogging, awareness programmes and public outreach are essential in reducing the further spread of this disease, the DMB said.
