Phek district holds consultation to formulates SDG roadmap
The Phek district administration, in collaboration with the SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) of the Planning and Transformation department organised a consultation workshop for formulating the SDG district roadmaps.
DIMAPUR — In an endeavour to localise the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the district level, the Phek district administration, in collaboration with the SDG Coordination Centre (SDGCC) of the Planning and Transformation department organised a consultation workshop for formulating the SDG district roadmaps.
The workshop was held in the conference hall of the district planning and development board (DPDB) in Phek town on August 7, a DIPR report stated.
Addressing the gathering, the deputy commissioner of Phek, Kumar Ramnikant, highlighted the global significance of SDG in addressing issues such as hunger, poor health, and climate change. He also urged officers to actively participate in the consultation to achieve the 17 goals and 167 targets outlined in the Nagaland SDG Vision 2030.
Meanwhile, the SDG officer, Abilo Humtsoe, emphasised the comprehensive and inclusive nature of the roadmap, designed to reflect the district’s aspirations.
The technical sessions featured presentations by M&E officer, Khriketou Sohou, and SDG officer, Phybemo Lotha. The workshop was chaired by district planning officer of Phek, Tesinle Kent.
