The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) and Emporium Training & Consultancy Private Limited (ETCPL) signed an MoU at the AKM office on Monday.
MOKOKCHUNG — In a bid to make the unemployed youths shore up their job prospects and also impart necessary skills, the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) and the Emporium Training & Consultancy Private Limited (ETCPL) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here at AKM office on Monday.
The MoU between AKM and ETCPL was signed by AKM president Lanutoshi Aier and ETCPL operation manager Anirban Mukherjee, in the presence of officials from AKM and ETCPL, for a period of five years.
With the signing of the agreement, both AKM and ETCPL plan to organise a career guidance programme in Mokokchung in the month of September to sanitise the unemployed youths on employment opportunities, followed by recruitment of candidates and training.
Mukherjee shared that the main objective of the MoU is to reach out to the educated unemployed youths in Mokokchung and nearby districts.
“We have learned that there are many school and college dropouts looking for employment opportunities, therefore through this collaboration we can connect them with arrays of job opportunities for them,” he said.
The AKM president informed that the MoU was reached after thorough deliberation in the AKM’s executive, which finally gave the green signal to go ahead.
Observing that there are many unemployed youths in Mokokchung, Aier hoped that through the collaboration, the youths would be exposed to various job opportunities outside the state.
Mukherjee informed that ETCPL is an accredited institution under the Government of India and was picked up by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Directorate General of Employment under the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
He also said that ETCPL is the only skill training provider in the entire Eastern part of India, which has been accredited and approved by the National Skill Development Co-operation International Division.
He further stated that ETCPL is under Skill India Initiative and the only institution approved by Skill India International for International mobility where jobs are provided both within and outside India through this particular project.
The sectors that come under the preview ETCPL are aviation, cruise line, hospitality and allied service sectors, he added.
