Deputy commissioners asked to implement Nagaland govt.’s directive to doctors
GoN has asked the deputy commissioners of all 16 districts to coordinate and ensure that the official memorandum is followed in letter and spirit.
DIMAPUR — A day after the in-service government doctors availing non-practising allowance (NPA) were directed to stop private practices within one month, the government of Nagaland has asked the deputy commissioners of all 16 districts to coordinate and ensure that the official memorandum is followed in letter and spirit.
Maintaining that the deputy commissioners are ‘the chairpersons of the District Health Mission and District Health Society, empowered to monitor and review matters relating to the health sector, inter-sectoral coordination and advocate measures required to improve health services in their respective districts’, the DCs have been asked report cases of violation to the Health and Family Welfare department.
