Nagaland sees 3% rise in GST revenue in July
DIMAPUR — Nagaland has recorded a Gross GST revenue collection of INR 43 crore for the month of July 2023. This is 3% higher than the INR 42 crore collected in July 2022, as per figures released by the Ministry of Finance.
The amount of SGST and SGST portion of IGST settled to Nagaland for the same period were INR 18 crore and INR 70 crore, respectively.
Meanwhile, the ministry has reported that the pan-India gross GST revenue collected in July 2023 was INR 1,65,105 crore, showing an 11% year-on-year growth.
Of the total gross GST revenue collected in July 2023, CGST stood at INR 29,773 crore, SGST at INR 37,623 crore, IGST at INR 85,930 crore (including INR 41,239 crore from imports), and cess at INR 11,779 crore (including INR 840 crore from imports), as per the ministry.
The government has settled INR 39,785 crore to CGST and INR 33,188 crore to SGST from IGST collections. After regular settlement, the total revenue of the centre and states for July 2023 stands at INR 69,558 crore and INR 70,811 crore, respectively, under CGST and SGST.
This is the fifth time that monthly gross GST collection has crossed the INR 1.6 lakh crore mark, underscoring the recovery in economic activity, the ministry added.
