Review meeting on JJM held in Karbi Anglong
DIPHU — A review meeting on the implementation of the current status of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swach Bharat Mission (G) in Karbi Anglong district was held at the conference hall of Arboretum cum Craft Centre in DIphu on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by PHED, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship & Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah in presence of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Chief Executive Member (CEM), Tuliram Ronghang with the officials of District Administration, PHED and DWSM.
Following the review meeting, a press conference was held where the minister said that a crucial discussion was held on the implementation of JJM in the two hill districts.
During the meeting it was decided that 55 litre of water per head will be provided everyday.
The house also set 2024 as the target to reach potable water supply to every household through JJM.
Baruah requested the MP and MLAs to extend their support towards proper implementation of JJM.
