Ao Students’ Conference directs proxy teachers in Mokokchung to cease teaching
MOKOKCHUNG— The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has directed all proxy teachers to immediately cease their activities under the District Education Office (DEO), Mokokchung, said that the practice presents a substantial obstacle to the scholarly progression and comprehensive learning experience of students.
In a press release, AKM has appealed to the School Management Committee (SMC) and School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) to exercise utmost vigilance on this matter.
“We urge them to refrain from engaging any proxy teachers within their jurisdiction, as this practice not only impedes scholarly advancement but also undermines the effectiveness of educational programmes, hindering overall growth,” it said.
It further said that no employee should leave their designated posting place without prior permission from the appropriate and authorised authority.
Maintaining that proxy teaching is rampant in many government schools despite the government’s directive, the AKM asked all the in-charges of government schools to maintain diligent records of teachers’ attendance to ensure smooth functioning.
It also informed that all government teachers and staff, who are posted in Mokokchung district but not performing their duties, to promptly return to their designated posting places.
AKM further warned that it will initiate action against the concerned school officials who do not comply with its appeal.
