DIMAPUR— Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio accompanied by his cabinet ministers, state chief secretary and home commissioner are in New Delhi to meet the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Indian government’s mediator for Naga peace talks, AK Mishra.
The chief minister and his cabinet colleagues are scheduled to meet both the Union Home Minister and Mishra on Tuesday, sources said.
The Nagaland team will be discussing the proposed ‘Frontier Naga Territory’ as offered to the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation and the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) with Shah.
It maybe mentioned that the state government in a cabinet meeting on June 28 decided to hold talks with the Centre as well as ENPO to bring more clarity on the demand of ENPO.
