DIMAPUR — The Dimapur wing of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan (NBBSS), an all India Bangla literary and cultural organisation with its head office in New Delhi, has felicitated winners of the 1st inter-school art competition during programme held at Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, on Saturday.
An update from the organisation stated that the merit certificates were given away by Monoj Bhattacharjee, president of Nikhil Bharat Banga Sahitya Sammelan, Dimapur branch.
It added that the meritorious students of HSLC and HSSLC examinations from the Bengali speaking community were felicitated by the special guests namely Dr. Sanjay Bhattacharjee, associates professor of Bangla from Gauhati University; Dr. Saikat Raut, assistant professor of Bengali from Rabindranath Tagore University, Hojai; and Bidhan Deb Roy, NBBSS president of Northeastern region.
In his welcome speech, Monoj Bhattacharjee, NBSS president of Dimapur unit, has urged upon all the participants and winners to continue contributing meaningfully towards preserving and encouraging Indian literature.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Samir Kumar Saha.
