5 wushu players from Nagaland to compete in national championship

DIMAPUR: Five players from Nagaland will be participating in the 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship, which will be held in Pune, Maharashtra, from June 26 to July 1.

The players will be representing the Nagaland Wushu Association led by Gabriel Khamo and Azhove Resu as the coach and manager, an update stated.

The team left Dimapur on Friday evening to compete at the national championship.

The players taking part in different categories for sanda events are Rakesh Mahato,  Mankho T konyak, Kethosilie Kuosa,  Atokivi T Chishi, Keyisuiding Lungalang.

Coach Gabriel Khamo expressed optimism that the players will give their best performance.

In a message, NWA president Kudecho Khamo urged the players to give their best and also advised the players to show their sportsmanship, punctuality and discipline as they represent Nagaland at the national level.
