The India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) Services was inaugurated at Kiphire post office by John Tsulise Sangtam
KOHIMA — The India Post Payment Bank Services was inaugurated at Kiphire post office by John Tsulise Sangtam, deputy commissioner of Kiphire, in the presence of L Tiken Singh, superintendent of post offices, on June 16 at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall in Kiphire town.
With the launch of the IPPB service at Kiphire sub post office and nine branch post offices (access points), the people of the area would have easy access to banking services and could avail different banking facilities including schemes under direct benefit transfer (DBT) at their door step, stated an update from the superintendent of posts, Nagaland division, Kohima.
It stated Daniel Domeh, SA Kohima, made a short presentation on IPPB during the inaugural programme, which was chaired by Hankiumong, postal staff of Pokphur branch office. The welcome address was delivered by Merenkiu Tikhir, sub postmaster of Kiphire, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Shibu Das.
