5 wushu players selected to represent Nagaland at national event

Dimapur: The Nagaland Wushu Association (NWA) has selected five players to represent Nagaland at the 32nd Senior National Wushu Championship 2023 scheduled to be held from June 26 to July 1 at Pune, Maharashtra.

An update informed that Rakesh Mahato (70kg), Shemele Rhakho (56 kg), Kethosilie Kuosa (52kg), Atokivi T Chishi (60kg), Keyisuiding Lungalang (75 kg) were selected out of 12 players who turned up for the selection trial held at IG Stadium Kohima on Tuesday.

During a brief event, NWA vice president Akhozo encouraged the players to dedicate and put efforts to bring laurels to the state while assuring them of promoting the game and conducting more coaching camps, it was informed.

NWA president and Advisor of CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo asked the participants to aim high in order to win medals at the highest level.
