‘Dear’ lotteries launched in Nagaland

DIMAPUR — The maiden launch of ‘Dear’ lotteries, a promotion of the Nagaland State Lotteries, was held on Monday at Golaghat Road opposite Amar Mill, Dimapur.

Sole distributor of Dear lotteries for Nagaland state, S Nagaraj, told media persons that Nagaland Government has given the approval letter to Future Gaming and Hotel Services Private Limited, to market Nagaland State paper lotteries in the state with effect from Monday (June 12).

Tickets will be available at the exclusive showroom located at Shop No. 9, Golaghat Road, and also with exclusive stockists appointed to market ‘Dear’ lottery tickets in different parts of Nagaland

Nagaraj also informed that M/s. JY Enterprise (Dimapur), M/s. C Murry Enterprise (Wokha) and M/s. NK Agency (Kohima) can be contacted for tickets and business opportunities.

He said three draws will be conducted daily at 1 pm, 6 pm and 8 pm and tickets are price at INR 6 per ticket. The first prize carries INR 1 crore and the results will be telecast live through YouTube channel as well available in Nagaland State Lotteries websites.

Nagaland State Lotteries tickets are widely marketed in the states of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Sikkim and Meghalaya, he said.

Nagaraj also shared that GST revenue from sale of lottery tickets has become a major contributor to both the central and state governments.

Winners can claimed their prize money through the Nagaland government by filling up a claim form along with necessary documents. The prize money will be transferred directly to the winner’s account after deducting 30% income tax.

However, for Naga people, one can submit income tax exemption form and the IT deduction amount will be reimbursed, he claimed.

Nagaraj informed that transfer of prize money to the winner’s account will take from one month to 40 days. However, the prize money below INR 10, 000 can be claimed from the ticket counter itself.
