Mao community in Kohima felicitates successful students
Mao Union Kohima (MUK) and Mao Students’ Union Kohima (MSUK) jointly organised a felicitation programme for successful students of HSLC and HSSLC and conferment of Ashikho Daili Trust Award for Academic Excellence (ADTAFAE) for HSLC toppers
DIMAPUR — Mao Union Kohima (MUK) and Mao Students’ Union Kohima (MSUK) jointly organised a felicitation programme for successful students of HSLC and HSSLC and conferment of Ashikho Daili Trust Award for Academic Excellence (ADTAFAE) for HSLC toppers at Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) in Kohima on June 4.
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest and patron of Ashikho Daili Trust Award for Academic Excellence, A Daili, challenged the successful students to do better in future saying nothing is permanent in life. He advised the student community to have strong will and determination and put their aims into action, stated an update from MSUK.
He further advised the students not to expect immediate result in their venture but work hard for excellence saying “Hard work is the answer.”
The president of Mao Union Kohima, H Dihe, urged upon the students to be responsible and contribute towards the welfare of the community in particular and the Naga society in general. He further challenged the students to work hard, shoulder the responsibilities and to achieve the dreams of their parents.
The toppers who were felicitated during the programme included Kayia Besü (Top 14th HSLC), Chinia Kayina (Top 17th HSLC), Chovoa Kayina (HSLC subject topper in Social Sciences).

The programme was chaired by Ashuzhüni D Robviina, while an invocation prayer was said by K Robvü, pastor of MBC Kohima, and MSUK president, Tafo Hugh, delivered the welcome address. Special presentation was performed by Shuzüo Chachei and Marüphro Chakre.
Speech on behalf of the parents was delivered by Purnima Kayina, while words of gratitude was delivered by MSUK general secretary, Aniphro Chachei. The programme concluded with a benediction prayer said by Dr. A Loso Chalai.
